Three days ago we got A,T & T U Verse high speed fiber optic internet, medium speed of the 5 levels. We have 4 computers, 2 windows 7, 1 Vista, & 1 XP. We have 3 of them direct wired to the NVG510 modem/router, including the XP computer. My wife's windows 7 computer in the basement is a wireless connection. Although the XP computer is wired directly, I cannot get it to work on the internet. I use the XP computer for some old programs that were never written for subsequent windows versions, and one requires the internet to operate. Any ideas how I can get this XP computer to work with the internet? It is a HP Pavilion a730n, with a 530 Pentium 4 processor speed 3.GHz, 512 mb memory, 200 mb hard serial ata drive @ 7200 rpm.
