On a Dell Optiplex GX260 with a blank HDD when attempting
to install the OS the PC lost power after the OS installation
had gotten into the format stage. With power restored I
again started the PC to finish loading the OS. The PC
will not get past a message that basically states that
it cannot boot into Windows. Even insuring that the PC
will start with the CD drive, it will not go back into the
OS CD for anything.
This PC was just acquired from a PC recycle firm here
today. Had been checked to insure working unit, but
without an OS.
How can I start a format on this drive to again start
the OS install?
