can not access hard drive

hi

after defraging my desktop xp pro sp2 machine with auglistics pro i cant access my 2nd h/drive [data only]. how ever i try to access it im asked if i want to format it as its not already formated. computer management shows the dish as 100% free. i also ran chkdsk r on three hard drives


have i/something wiped the drive?
