Spotify loads at startup!!!

Hello All

XP Home with SP3.

I use Spotify (free version) which loads, and takes me to their web site each time I switch on my computer. I don't want this to happen, my preference is to click on the desktop shortcut when I want to go to their site. Is there a way this can be achieved?
