Short Term Memory Loss - Bios Password

THIS IS NOT AN ILLEGAL HACK. I repeat, this is not an illegal hack!

Recently, I set a system password in my bios. In my attempt to protect myself against unauthorized users, I shot myself in the proverbial foot, because I forgot the password I (ME, MYSELF, I) set as soon as I rebooted!

Seriously, this is no joke. Please help.
I've been without my PC for 3 plus months and have tried everything to bypass the self-inflicted torture to no avail (took battery on motherboard out for 10 minutes, unplugged and replugged everything on the motherboard, called Dell Support line listed with my service code, prayed, cursed, watched 1 million and one youtube videos, ect.)

It seems to be that the reset password jumper is the obvious solution. The problem is, I currently have no jumper or anything connected to the password pin or the reset password pin. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to bypass the bios password. I would rather not loose all my files, but am prepared to reset the whole system.
