XP not installing after DBAN wipe

I decided to wipe my Dell Dimension 3000 Pc after using it for 10 years and wanted to give it away for charity.
I used Dban Gutmann method to wipe it but now having probs reinstalling Windows Xp.
I have the CD that originally came with my Dell titled " Operating System. Reinstallation CD" and have changed the boot sequence in the bios to CD.
The Pc boots up to a black screen with no errors when the CD is in. When I remove the CD I get "no operating system found"
I also tried another Windows XP CD and getting the same issue.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?
The CD drive is ok as I used it for booting DBAN.
