inspiron 6000 worked fine. upon startup, keyboard would not work and sometimes the "system" grid would appear on scrn upon startup. 7 buttons on front of laptop would also lite up at times. (tried good ideas in other thread to get keyboard working but nothing worked.) if pres f8 upon startup i can sometimes login using usb keyboard. ran malwarebytes before submitting anything to this site and all was clean.
got lucky a minute ago and got to signin page and eventually restarted and ended up with the dell inc. "system" page but even usb keyboard cannot budge anything. usually have to turn off computer manually, restart and sometimes get into xp, not always. any clues?
