windows xp, sp3 frequent BSOD

Lose system to the BSOD freeze. AFter re-boot, i check Ctl Panel; Administration Tools; Event viewer and
check the last error recorded. It is always
The Windows Security Center Service was unable to establish event queries with WMI to monitor third party AntiVirus and Firewall.

I then check the Services for the WMI performance adapter and find it was stopped. I start, then stop, then start it again.

Some time later, sometimes within minutes/hours, sometimes days, the BSOD freezes the system again.

I searched Lenovo, Microsoft and general WEB community for help, but none for Windows XP.

Seems to happen more clicking on links from MS Outlook 2010 to WEB sites. Also, often when asked for a password during logon during boot.
