I am facing problem in sound of my windows xp system. Actually, I installed an antivirus program which deleted some of the files and after that sound is not working and device volume is grayed out.
I tried to restore system but I did not have any restore point before of that antivirus installation.
I copied and paste sndvol32.exe file in system 32 folder but it does not help.
In properties section of windows audio service start up type is set to automatic and status is started.
In sound, video and game controller under device manager realtek audio AC97 is shown to be working properly.
Sound was working well before installing antivirus so what else I can do now to get it back.
