Hello again,
I now have a new problem which is: my computer screen gets 'scrambled' at random times. By scrambled I mean it it just suddenly stops and has a freeze frame of vertical colours and horizontal lines with no cursor and task manager doesn't work so I need to re-boot. In fact I turn it off and it usually just comes back on straight away and most of the time that is fine but occasionally it asks if I want to start in safe mode, last configuration etc. (I usually opt for last working configuration).
I have been reading through your forums and I think (Ha ha listen to the expert now who barely knows what most of this stuff even means!!) that:
1. It is my graphic card (hopefully because that seems the cheapest/simplest option)
2. Is has something to do with my RAM or
3. My Mother Board has had it which I believe is curtains for my pc!
I have read the options for running Memtest86 which sounds good but my question here is: If I boot my pc from the disc to check it how do I then get it to start up normally. (Assuming things are fine there!). I haven't tried it yet.
Your advice would be very welcome before I make my pc completely unworkable!!!
Thank you
