I have a hard drive that I use as a "sand box" for testing software (mostly free ware), de bugging conflicts with different programs, manipulation of photo data and youtube videos. I keep my computer system (Sony Media Center, running Win Xp) on it's side and leave the computer case open. This allows me to change drives easily and protects the data and configuration of the "real" set up. I use Acronis 9 to create images of every drive I have. The problem I created is: using the factory restoration discs I reformatted the sand box drive and cleaned up the registry with CCleaner (big mistake) and restarted the system. Now I get the message that the system does not see any hard drives. The problem is persistent across any drive normally functioning drive I put into the system (including the real setup). Help!!!
